Manchester City Sticks to Ederson Despite Galatasaray's Interest
Wednesday 23-07-2025
Sky Sports confirmed that Manchester City does not intend to part with its goalkeeper Ederson, despite reports indicating that Turkish club Galatasaray is interested in acquiring him during the current summer transfer window.

Sky explained that Galatasaray is confident of reaching an agreement with City after having a verbal understanding with the goalkeeper's agent regarding personal terms, but the English club has not received any official offer so far and insists on keeping its first-choice goalkeeper.

Ederson recently clarified the situation during the pre-season preparations for the new season, saying: "My future is here, my mind is fully with City, I want to return to the Premier League and compete for the Champions League again, 99% of what is said about my departure is just fake news."

Meanwhile, Manchester City continues its negotiations with Burnley to reacquire goalkeeper James Trafford, who has a buy-back clause in his contract valued at £40 million, and the club is looking to reduce this amount in anticipation of any potential changes in the goalkeeper position.
