Wednesday 23-07-2025
The anticipated match between the Royal Army and Raja Sports, part of the second round of the professional national championship "Inwi", is threatened with postponement, pending the official schedule that will be issued by the National Professional League in the coming days.

This possibility arises from the participation of several players from both teams with the national team of local players, should they qualify for the advanced stages of the African Championship for local players "AFCON", scheduled for August 2025.

The Royal Army Club has announced the call-up of five players to represent the local national team, namely: Rabi' Harimat, Anas Bash, Khalid Ait Wrkhan, Marwan Al-Wadni, and Jamal Al-Shamakh, while it is also expected that players from Raja will be called up, which could affect the scheduling of the match.

In this context, Tarek Skitiwi, coach of the national team for locals, will hold a press conference today, Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 4 PM at the Mohammed VI Football Complex, to announce the official list of players participating in the eighth edition of the "AFCON" championship.

The anticipated continental championship will be held in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, from August 2 to 30, 2025, with the participation of teams from the African continent, in a version eagerly awaited by fans of African football.
