Riyadh Close to Securing the Signing of Teddy Okou
Saudi press reports have revealed that the Riyadh club is close to signing French player Teddy Okou from Swiss team Luzern.
The Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" reported via the "X" platform that the Riyadh administration is in advanced negotiations with the player amidst competition from other clubs, most notably Egyptian Zamalek.
The player was a candidate to join Egyptian Zamalek during the ongoing summer transfer window, as the club's management made intensive contacts with the player's agent and his Swiss club in recent days to facilitate his signing. However, the Egyptian club decided to back out of the deal for reasons that have not been officially announced.
So far in the current summer transfer window, Zamalek has signed: goalkeeper Mahdi Suleiman, striker Amr Nasser, winger Ahmed Sherif, Angolan striker Chico Panza, in addition to Palestinian Adam Kaid.
