Benfica Announces Second Largest Deal in Its History
The Portuguese club Benfica officially announced the signing of Colombian midfielder Richard Rios from Brazilian club Palmeiras.
The deal was completed for a value of 27 million euros, with a contract extending until June 2030 and a release clause of 100 million euros.
Palmeiras will receive about 21 million euros (70% of the amount), while the remaining percentage went to Rios's previous clubs Guarani and Flamengo.
This deal is considered the second most expensive signing in Benfica's history, with a fixed value of 27 million euros, following the transfer of Orkun Kökçü (which totaled approximately 29.7 million euros).
