Hanko Out of Al-Nassr's Plans
The transfer of Slovak defender David Hanko from Dutch club Feyenoord to Saudi club Al-Nassr has unexpectedly stalled, despite being very close to signing last week, according to Dutch newspaper "Football International".
Reports confirmed that negotiations between the two clubs had reached advanced stages twice, and the agreement was almost complete; however, the final details were not finalized, leading to the withdrawal of Al-Nassr's representatives and the indefinite postponement of the deal.
Feyenoord was expected to achieve a record from Hanko's sale, especially with both parties close to reaching a final agreement last Friday, but the deal collapsed again for unclear reasons.
The 28-year-old Slovak defender has played 140 matches for Feyenoord since his arrival in 2022, contributing 15 goals and 12 assists, and is considered one of the key defensive pillars of the team.
Hanko's contract with the Dutch club extends until 2028, giving Feyenoord an advantage in future negotiations if interested clubs – including Al-Nassr – return to attempt to sign him again.
