Manchester United has officially announced its signing of Cameroonian star Bryan Mbeumo, coming from Brentford, after completing the registration procedures. Mbeumo (25 years old) has signed a contract that extends until June 2030, with an option to extend for an additional year.

In the last season, Mbeumo excelled by scoring 20 goals in the Premier League, ranking fourth in the top scorers list, and he also assisted 8 other goals. Since Brentford's promotion to the Premier League, Mbeumo has maintained an impressive average of 18 goal contributions each season.

Mbeumo said in his first statement after signing: "From the moment I learned there was an opportunity to join Manchester United, I didn't hesitate at all. This is the club I dreamed of since I was a child, and I wore its jersey as a kid."

He added: "My mentality is to be better every day than the previous day. I know I have the spirit and character to reach a higher level here, by learning with coach Ruben Amorim and playing alongside world-class players."

He continued: "I have heard a lot about the special environment being built here and the ambitious plans for the future. This is a great club, with an amazing stadium and wonderful fans, and we are all determined to compete for the biggest trophies."

According to several media reports, the deal cost Manchester United's coffers £65 million plus £6 million in add-ons.
