Juventus Shows Interest in Darwin Núñez to Strengthen Attack
Reports have revealed that Darwin Núñez, the Liverpool striker, has entered the radar of Italian club Juventus during the current summer transfer window, as the Reds are looking to offload him after he fell out of coach Arne Slot's plans.
According to the Italian newspaper "La Stampa", Juventus, which recently signed Canadian Jonathan David, is looking to add a new striker to its ranks and has placed Núñez at the top of its list of options. The Bianconeri face competition from several clubs interested in the Uruguayan striker's services, including Napoli, Atlético Madrid, and Saudi clubs Al-Hilal and Al-Nassr.
Liverpool is asking for around 60 million euros to part ways with Núñez on a permanent basis, but they are open to the idea of a loan provided it includes an obligation to buy under specific conditions.
It is noted that Núñez joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022 from Benfica for 85 million euros and is contracted with the English club until 2028. He played 47 matches last season, scoring 7 goals and providing as many assists.
