Wydad Athletic Club began its preparations for the new football season with a friendly victory over Racing Casablanca, winning by a goal to nil in a match held on Sunday evening in a sporting atmosphere.

The winning goal was scored by player Salman Al-Rihani in the second half, following a decisive pass from the experienced Moroccan international Nour El-Din Amrabat, giving his team its first victory in a series of preparatory matches.

The match provided an opportunity for the coaching staff, led by new coach Hicham Dmiri, to test several new arrivals, most notably Dutch player Bart Meyers, Brazilian Guilherme Ferreira, Hamza Al-Wasiti, and Abdel Ghafour Lamirat.

The match also saw the return of player Moath Onzo to the field after a long absence due to injury, which brought great relief to Wydad fans, who have high hopes for his return to form.

The red team continues its intensive preparation program, which includes multiple friendly matches, aiming to achieve complete physical and technical readiness before the season starts, in which Wydad seeks to return to the podium after three barren years without titles.
