The newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah" revealed that the Competitions Committee of the Saudi Football Federation is heading to send an official invitation to Al-Ahli club to participate in the upcoming Saudi Super Cup.

This move came after Al-Hilal, the league champion, submitted an official apology for not participating in the Super Cup, which is scheduled to take place next August.

Al-Hilal justified its decision by the delay in its players' vacation, due to their recent participation in the FIFA Club World Cup, which affected the team's preparation schedule for the new season.

The technical staff of Al-Hilal also expressed concern about the players' fatigue, given the tight schedule of the preparatory period, which led the club to withdraw from the tournament.

Meanwhile, Al-Ahli is expected to receive an official letter in the coming days in preparation for its participation instead of Al-Hilal, amidst great anticipation from the fans regarding the fate of the tournament.
