Inter Milan awaits the end of July due to Dumfries

Reports revealed new details on Sunday regarding the future of Dutch player Denzel Dumfries, an Inter Milan player, and the possibility of his departure from the Italian club during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Dumfries' contract with Inter Milan extends until June 2028 and includes a release clause of 25 million euros, which is only valid until midnight on July 31, after which the club will have the right to set a new price for him, which estimates suggest will not be less than 35 to 40 million euros.

The Spanish newspaper "AS" reported that the deadline for the release clause in Dumfries' contract is causing concern for Inter Milan's management, given the interest from clubs, most notably Barcelona, in exploiting this clause and signing the player at the lower price. The newspaper clarified that Barcelona had previously shown interest in Dumfries and had discussions with his agent Jorge Mendes.

Despite the denial from Inter's sporting director of receiving any official offer from Barcelona so far, the Catalan club continues to closely monitor the situation until it resolves its financial crises. Meanwhile, Inter is eagerly awaiting the expiration of the release clause to impose the price it deems appropriate for selling the player in case of his departure.
