Wydad Athletic Club is nearing a decision regarding the future of its goalkeeper Youssef Mati during the ongoing summer transfer window, amid reports of his potential departure from the red fortress.

Moroccan reports have confirmed that a Gulf club has shown strong interest in acquiring Mati, who has become a candidate to leave Wydad during the summer 'mercato', given his declining position within the team.

The same source added that Wydad's management will finalize its position regarding the goalkeeper in the coming hours, as negotiations are underway that could lead to his official transfer.

It is worth noting that Youssef Mati lost his starting position in Wydad's lineup since the club signed goalkeeper Mehdi Ben Abid during the last winter transfer window, making Mati the second-choice goalkeeper.
