Ahmed Hassan, the former Zamalek star, revealed a new surprise regarding the Palestinian Wisam Abu Ali, the star of Al Ahly.

Ahmed Hassan said through his personal account on Facebook: "A source in Al Ahly: There is a preliminary approval for Wisam Abu Ali's departure to Columbus after the American club agreed to modify the financial offer to reach 8 million dollars, excluding benefits."

He added: "Al Ahly will not announce Wisam's departure before finalizing the contract with a strong replacement, with Mustafa Mohamed and Osama Faisal being the most prominent candidates. Ribeiro requested the inclusion of a foreign striker and not a local one, and the club is considering his decision in light of the current completion of the foreign players' list in the team."

Abu Ali is determined to leave Al Ahly this summer after receiving tempting offers following his outstanding performance in the 2025 Club World Cup.
