Lajqi Receives FIFA President Infantino in Rabat

In an official visit with strategic dimensions for the future of African and global football, Fawzi Lajqi, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, received FIFA President Gianni Infantino this Saturday morning in the capital, Rabat. Infantino arrived in the kingdom to follow up on developments in African football, particularly the Women's Africa Cup of Nations being hosted by Morocco.

During the meeting, Infantino expressed his great happiness at returning to Morocco, praising what he described as the "organizational and professional success" of the sporting events taking place in the country. He confirmed that Morocco's advanced infrastructure and ambitious vision "qualify it to host the largest global tournaments with merit."

Additionally, the FIFA President praised Morocco's leading role in the joint bid to host the 2030 World Cup alongside Spain and Portugal, noting that "the next five years will be crucial in the landscape of football, and Morocco will be one of the cornerstones of this historic transformation."

Infantino's visit reaffirms FIFA's confidence in Morocco and reflects the significant work being done by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, along with ongoing government support for the development of the game, making Morocco a model to be emulated in Africa and the Arab world.
