English media reports have revealed that Barcelona is close to finalizing a deal to sign Marcus Rashford, the Manchester United striker, during the current summer transfer window.

According to the British newspaper "The Athletic", negotiations between the two parties have reached their final stages, after Barcelona made an offer through intermediaries to acquire Rashford on loan with an option for a permanent purchase.

The newspaper clarified that Manchester United has initially agreed to the offer presented by the Catalan club, with final details to be completed in the coming days.

Rashford spent the second half of last season on loan at Aston Villa before returning to Manchester United, where his contract extends until June 30, 2028.

The English player has participated in 426 matches with the Red Devils, scoring 138 goals and providing 77 assists.
