Barcelona has received another blow before the start of its pre-season tour in Asia, after announcing the injury of young player Ibrahim Diara.

The club revealed in an official statement that Diara suffered a muscle tear in the rectus femoris of his right leg, which will prevent him from traveling with the first team to Japan and South Korea.

Barcelona did not specify the duration of the player's absence, confirming that his return to training will depend on the development of his health condition in the coming period.

Diara's absence comes as an additional loss amid head coach Hans Flick's desire to evaluate several emerging talents during the Asian tour, as part of an intensive preparation program for the new season 2025/2026.

Barcelona is scheduled to travel to Asia in the coming hours for a summer tour that includes friendly matches against Vissel Kobe, FC Seoul, and Daegu, before returning to Catalonia in early August.
