Saturday 19-07-2025
The Moroccan Raja Club Athletic continues its intensive preparations for the new football season within its training camp in Agadir, where on Friday the new arrivals Mohamed Mekkaz and Khaled Al-Kabiri Al-Alawi joined the team's training, in a move that confirms the club's desire to build a strong and competitive team.

Additionally, player Taha Qashqash, captain of Raja's youth team, is preparing to join the camp at the request of coach Lassaad Jarda Shabi, who seeks to give young talents the opportunity to integrate into the first team.

Mohamed Mekkaz returned to Raja on a free transfer after a short stint with Saudi club Al-Wehda, where he joined last summer alongside coach Joseph Zinnbauer.

Mekkaz did not manage to establish himself in the starting lineup, but coach Lassaad Shabi insisted on bringing him back due to his technical and physical experience that can support Raja's midfield.

Raja succeeded in breaking the release clause of 10 million dirhams to sign goalkeeper Khaled Al-Kabiri Al-Alawi from Olympique Safi, who has excelled in recent years and significantly contributed to his team's victory in the King's Cup.

The goalkeeper signed a contract for three seasons with Raja, as part of a policy to strengthen the goalkeeping position with young and promising faces.

Through these signings, the green team confirms its determination to build a strong combination capable of restoring the club's glory locally and competing for a return to the African Champions League in the following season.
