In a long-awaited step by the fans of 'Al-Nawaris', elections were held today for Al-Zawraa Club to choose a new permanent management to lead the team in the upcoming phase, amid great hopes that this management will mark the beginning of a new era that returns Al-Zawraa to its natural position at the top of Iraqi football.

The voting results resulted in the victory of Haidar Shanshul Qasim for the position of club president, after a fierce competition that saw a notable presence from the members of the general assembly. Alongside him, the new management includes Abdul Amir Naji as vice president, Mahmoud Karim as secretary, and Yahya Mohammed as general secretary, in addition to the joining of Amer Qasim and Imad Said as members of the board of directors.

Following the official announcement of the results, Haidar Shanshul expressed his pride in being appointed president of Al-Zawraa, emphasizing that the club is entering a new phase of ambitious administrative and sports work, pointing to the existence of several anticipated deals aimed at strengthening the team's ranks. He stated in a brief remark: 'Al-Zawraa will not stop from now on, and our ambition is not limited to competition only, but to winning both the league and cup titles together.'

These elections represent an important turning point in the path of Al-Zawraa, which seeks to regain its local and Asian brilliance, through a management that possesses the ambition and will to achieve the aspirations of its large fan base spread across Iraq.
