The Italian club Atalanta announced through its official website the finalization of the contract with goalkeeper Marco Sportiello, coming from AC Milan, where he will wear the number 57 jersey with the team in the new season.

Sportiello returns to his mother club where he grew up and progressed through its youth sector, before defending the team's colors between 2013 and 2017, and then again during the period from 2019 to 2023. During those periods, the Italian goalkeeper played 137 matches in all competitions wearing the Atalanta jersey.

He was present at the team's most significant historical moments, such as the match against Valencia in the Champions League and the quarter-final match against Paris Saint-Germain.

Sportiello has extensive experience in Serie A, with a total of 208 matches, thanks to his previous stints with clubs like Fiorentina, Frosinone, and AC Milan, in addition to Atalanta.
