FC Barcelona announced on Wednesday evening that Spanish star Lamine Yamal has signed his new contract with the club, which will last until 2031.

In a special celebration held inside the offices of the "Spotify Camp Nou" stadium, Yamal received the number 10 jersey from club president Joan Laporta himself, in the presence of his family and several club officials, including vice president Rafa Yusti, sporting director Deco, football sector coordinator Bojan Krkic, and sports committee member Joan Soler.

The number 10 jersey holds great symbolism in Barcelona's history and the world, having been worn by great stars including Maradona, Rivaldo, Ronaldinho, and Lionel Messi.

This step reflects the Catalan club's confidence in the "La Masia" star, who has not been affected by the weight of responsibility and continues his path towards stardom, with aspirations for him to shine in the upcoming season and defend the treble from last season (the league, the cup, and the Spanish Super Cup).
