
Officially.. Real Madrid Announces Farewell Ceremony for Vazquez
The Spanish club Real Madrid announced in an official statement that it will hold a ceremonial event tomorrow, Thursday, July 17, at 13:00 Madrid time, in the city of Real Madrid to honor and bid farewell to its player Lucas Vazquez, with the attendance of club president Florentino Perez.
The club confirmed in its statement: "Real Madrid expresses its gratitude and love for Lucas Vazquez, one of the legends of our club who will be leaving us this summer."
Lucas Vazquez joined Real Madrid in 2007 at the age of 16, progressing through the various age categories within the club's academy until he reached the reserve team "Castilla", before being loaned for one season to Espanyol. He began his journey with the first team in September 2015.
He played 402 matches over 10 seasons, in one of the most successful periods in the club's history, and during his career with Real Madrid, Vazquez won 23 titles, including: 5 UEFA Champions Leagues, 5 FIFA Club World Cups, 4 UEFA Super Cups, 4 La Liga titles, the Copa del Rey, and 4 Spanish Super Cups.
