The Spanish club Barcelona has clarified its position regarding the future of its German goalkeeper Marc-André ter Stegen, confirming its desire to reach an amicable solution with the player if he decides to leave, according to the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

According to the newspaper, Barcelona's management believes that Stegen's fate is in the player's hands, as they await him to explicitly announce his desire to leave before granting the green light for his departure, given the club's wish to end the relationship in an agreed manner and without crises.

"Sport" explained that the future of the German goalkeeper has entered a decisive phase, as he is expected to travel with the team for the Asian tour, while leaving the final decision to him. The club also indicated that his absence from training on Tuesday was due to physical discomfort.

This comes after coach Hans Flick informed him that he would not be the starting goalkeeper for the team next season, following the signing of Juan Garcia from Espanyol and the renewal of Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny's contract.
