Napoli Withdraws from Darwin Nunez Deal
Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano has announced that Napoli has informed Liverpool this evening that the Darwin Nunez deal can be considered non-negotiable.
Romano added that Napoli's management found the Nunez deal to be very expensive, and therefore decided to focus on finalizing the deal for striker Lorenzo Luca instead, to be the new forward for the team.
The source indicated that Nunez was open to leaving and moving to Napoli, but Liverpool's financial demands led the Italian club to withdraw from the deal.
Despite his failed transfer to Napoli, Nunez remains a strong candidate to leave Liverpool this summer, amid interest from several clubs, most notably from the Saudi league.
