The early hours of this morning witnessed surprising developments in the transfer file of Ahmed Abdelkader, the Egyptian Al-Ahly player, to the Saudi league, after being close to officially signing with Al-Hazm club.
Reliable sources confirmed that the management of Al-Hazm club decided to withdraw from completing the player's deal officially, after having conducted preliminary negotiations with Al-Ahly's management in the past few hours.
The withdrawal decision came without revealing the reasons, despite the fact that negotiations between the two parties were initially progressing positively, with expectations to finalize the deal within days.
At the same time, Ahmed Abdelkader is still searching for his next destination, amid his impending departure from the Red Castle, especially after his role in Al-Ahly's lineup has diminished this season.
