Manchester United is looking to strengthen its squad by signing French star Corentin Tolisso, a midfielder from Lyon, as part of the club's plan to bolster the team with the best signings ahead of the new season.

According to the newspaper "AS", United's management has contacted their counterparts at Lyon to explore the club's position on selling Tolisso, taking advantage of the financial crisis that Lyon is facing, which might open the door for his departure.

The expected value of the deal is around 12 million euros, an amount that does not pose an obstacle for Manchester United if a final agreement is reached between the parties involved.

Tolisso is 30 years old, plays as a central midfielder, and his contract with Lyon ends in June 2027. The player returned to Lyon in 2022 from Bayern Munich and has since played 270 matches, scoring 42 goals and providing 30 assists.
