The Spanish club Real Madrid has set next Thursday as the date for the farewell ceremony of their player Lucas Vazquez, after his official departure from the team following participation in the 2025 Club World Cup.

The royal club had previously announced that last season was Vazquez's final one in the Real jersey, which he ended by exiting the Club World Cup after losing to Paris Saint-Germain 4-0 in the semifinals.

Lucas Vazquez, who is 34 years old, is one of the products of Real Madrid's academy, having played one season with Espanyol before returning to the first team in 2015. He has played 402 matches with the Merengues across all competitions, scoring 38 goals and assisting 73.

Vazquez's name is linked to several clubs for a potential contract in the upcoming period, including Turkish club Fenerbahçe, as he awaits to finalize his new destination after bidding farewell to Santiago Bernabéu.
