Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano announced via his official account on the platform "X" that Croatian star Luka Modric arrived today in Milan to undergo medical tests, preparing for his official signing with AC Milan during the ongoing summer transfer window.

With this move, Modric is ending his long and successful journey with Spanish club Real Madrid, during which he achieved many titles and accomplishments. His transfer to Milan aims to maintain his physical readiness and participate regularly in hopes of being with the Croatian national team at the 2026 World Cup.

Reports indicated that Modric, who wore the number 10 shirt with Real Madrid, might choose to wear the number 14 shirt with Milan, which he wore during his previous time with Tottenham Hotspur, as the number 10 at Milan is currently held by Portuguese player Rafael Leão.

Milan signed Modric as part of its plan to strengthen the team with highly experienced players to compete strongly for various titles in the new season.
