Al-Hilal Apologizes for Participation in Saudi Super Cup
According to the newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" and its sources, Al-Hilal Saudi Club has submitted an official apology for participating in the Saudi Super Cup.
According to the same sources, this decision came after the Al-Hilal administration studied the matter thoroughly with the coaching staff led by coach Simone Inzaghi, who pointed out the extent of fatigue the team experienced during its participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.
The Saudi Football Federation will announce its official position and determine the identity of the substitute team that will participate instead of Al-Hilal in the tournament.
The tournament will be held in Hong Kong and will feature Al-Hilal, Al-Qadisiyah, Al-Nassr, and Al-Ittihad.
