Reports have revealed the jersey number that Croatian Luka Modric will wear with AC Milan next season, following his departure from Real Madrid, where he spent 13 years.

Modric wore the number 10 jersey at Real Madrid since James Rodriguez's departure in 2017, but the number 10 at Milan is reserved for player Rafael Leao, forcing Modric to change his number.

Modric had worn the number 19 jersey in his early days with Real Madrid, a number that has become available at Milan after Theo Hernandez's transfer to Al Hilal in Saudi Arabia.

However, reports from 'Foot Mercato' suggest that Modric is likely to choose the number 14, a number he previously wore between 2008 and 2012 with his former team Tottenham.

Milan is awaiting Modric's arrival, who is considered one of the most experienced players, to strengthen the Rossoneri's squad for the new season.

Last season, Modric played 63 matches with Real Madrid across all competitions, during which he spent 2984 minutes on the pitch, scoring 4 goals and providing 9 assists.
