Real Oviedo officially announced the renewal of its legend Santi Cazorla's contract, who is 40 years old, following his historic contribution to the team's promotion to La Liga for the first time in 25 years.

The Spanish club published a video on its official account on X platform, announcing the renewal of Cazorla's contract for one more season, until the summer of 2026.

Santi Cazorla will start his third season after returning to Oviedo in the summer of 2023, where he scored five goals and provided five assists in 35 matches played.

Cazorla, who returned to represent his childhood club at the end of his career, played a crucial role in achieving the promotion dream, and the club rewarded him by renewing his contract and giving him the opportunity to play another season among the elites.
