The duo Ronald Araujo and Andreas Christensen, defenders for Barcelona, are insisting on staying with the team next season, despite the club's management wanting to let them go or one of them during the current summer transfer window.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Araujo and Christensen have informed the club of their refusal to consider leaving, which has complicated the plans of sporting director Deco, who is considering reducing the number of players in the center-back position due to the large surplus in that area.

The report indicated that the duo's early return to training with the team sent a clear message of their desire to stay and continue defending the colors of Barcelona next season.

Barcelona had renewed Araujo's contract until June 2031 in the middle of last season, while Christensen's contract with the team ends in June 2026, and Barcelona is set to begin preparations for the new season tomorrow.
