According to sources, Al-Ahli club is considered the closest candidate to replace Al-Hilal, based on its ranking in the Roshn Saudi League table during the past season, making it a potential alternative in the tournament.
Al-Hilal was supposed to face Al-Qadisiyah club in the semi-finals of the tournament, but the blue administration is considering withdrawing from participation due to player fatigue following the FIFA Club World Cup.
Reports have indicated that Al-Hilal's management is seriously contemplating granting its players additional rest, coinciding with the strong preparations the team is undertaking for the start of the new season both locally and continentally.
The regulations governing the tournament impose a financial penalty that may reach 500,000 riyals on any club that withdraws without providing acceptable justifications, which puts Al-Hilal in a difficult equation between resting players and facing penalties.
