The management of Al-Hilal Saudi Club is seriously considering apologizing for participating in the Saudi Super Cup 2025, scheduled to start in August, due to the significant physical strain the players have experienced following their strong participation in the FIFA Club World Cup.

Al-Hilal had a historic participation in the Club World Cup held in the United States, successfully eliminating English Manchester City with an exciting score of 4-3, before being knocked out of the tournament in the quarter-finals by Brazilian Fluminense.

According to Asharq Al-Awsat newspaper, sources within Al-Hilal confirmed that the decision to withdraw has not been finalized yet, but the prevailing direction within the club leans towards not participating in the Super Cup, to avoid subjecting the players to additional physical pressure.

Expectations indicate that Al-Ahli Saudi Club will be the first option to replace Al-Hilal in case of withdrawal, due to its advanced position in the league standings, making it a logical candidate to take the champion's place in the tournament.

The tournament will take place in Hong Kong from August 19 to 23, featuring clubs including Al-Ittihad, Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, and Al-Qadisiyah, where Al-Ittihad will face Al-Nassr on August 19, and Al-Hilal will meet Al-Qadisiyah on August 20, while the final will be held on August 23.
