Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano confirmed via his official account on the social media platform X that Real Madrid has reached an agreement to sign Spanish defender Alvaro Kareras, with the player set to travel to the capital Madrid today in preparation for his medical examinations.

Romano clarified that the royal club has already scheduled the player's medical tests upon his arrival, after receiving official permission to travel, and is awaiting the completion of final procedures in the coming hours.

He noted that Manchester United, which holds a buy-back option for Kareras, has officially informed that it does not wish to activate the clause in his contract, thus clearing the way for the deal to be finalized with Real Madrid.

According to Romano, the value of the deal is around 50 million euros to be paid in installments, with an official announcement from Real Madrid expected after all details are finalized.
