Reports have revealed that Newcastle United, the English club, is interested in signing Conor Gallagher, the midfielder from Atletico Madrid, during the current summer transfer window, according to the Spanish newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo'.

This interest from Newcastle comes at the request of head coach Eddie Howe, who sees Gallagher as a suitable player for his plans and capable of securing a regular spot in his lineup.

Gallagher joined Atletico Madrid last summer from Chelsea for 41 million euros, but he struggled to establish himself consistently in the starting lineup last season.

The 25-year-old English player participated in 50 matches with Atletico Madrid across all competitions during the 2024/2025 season, scoring 4 goals and assisting 6 for his teammates.
