The German goalkeeper was seen leaving the training ground after a direct meeting with Flick, where he was informed of this decision that ends Ter Stegen's time as the starting goalkeeper for the Catalan team.
Reports revealed that coach Hans Flick decided to rely on Juan Garcia as the starting goalkeeper, with the veteran Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny included as a substitute.
Despite his diminished role, Ter Stegen has not been completely excluded from the squad, as the club respects his desire if he decides to remain with the team.
