Turkish media reports revealed today, Friday, that Fenerbahçe has invited Spanish player Marco Asensio, currently with Paris Saint-Germain, to undergo a medical examination in preparation for his official transfer to the team during the summer transfer window.
According to the 'polemikhaber' website, Fenerbahçe has reached an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain to acquire Asensio for 15 million euros, following a meeting between the Turkish club's president and officials from the French club.
The site clarified that the Spanish player, who has one year left on his contract with Paris, will receive an annual salary of 9 million euros, in addition to bonuses, along with a luxury villa in Istanbul as part of the deal.
Asensio had played on loan in the second half of last season with Aston Villa, participating in a total of 37 matches with Paris Saint-Germain and the English team, contributing to scoring and assisting 15 goals, including 9 goals with Aston Villa and 6 with the Champions League titleholder in the first half of the season.
