In a surprising move as part of the plan to rebuild the defense, the management of Saudi Al-Hilal has decided to part ways with Brazilian left-back Renan Lodi during the current summer transfer window.

This decision came after "the Leader" successfully completed the signing of French star Theo Hernandez to strengthen the left flank in preparation for the upcoming football season under the guidance of Italian coach Simone Inzaghi.

The new coach expressed his lack of confidence in keeping Lodi in the starting lineup, which prompted the management to make the decision to let him go despite joining the team only in January 2024.
