Officially.. Boca Juniors Announces the Signing of Paredes

The Argentine club Boca Juniors has officially announced the return of Leandro Paredes to the club after many years during which the veteran midfielder was present in European leagues.

Boca activated the clause to terminate his contract with Roma, which is valued at approximately 3.5 million euros, and an agreement was reached for a contract that extends until December 2028 for a duration of three and a half years.

Paredes, who is 31 years old, began his career with Boca Juniors from its academy in 2002, then made his first-team debut in 2010, playing 31 matches and scoring 5 goals before turning professional in Europe in 2014.

After that, he played for multiple clubs: Chievo, Roma (where he played 135 matches), Empoli (on loan), Zenit Saint Petersburg, Paris Saint-Germain, and Juventus.

He won the World Cup 2022 and Copa America 2021 and 2024 with the Argentina national team, and with clubs, he won several titles in France, Russia, and the Argentine league.
