Sunderland AFC has officially announced its signing of Ivorian winger Simon Adingra, coming from Brighton, during the ongoing summer transfer window, in preparation for the new season in the Premier League.

The club stated in a statement on its official website that the 23-year-old player has signed a five-year contract, making him the sixth signing for the club this summer after the arrivals of Enzo Le Fee, Habib Diallo, Noah Sadiki, Reinildo Mandava, and Shamseddine Talbi.

Adingra featured for Brighton last season in 33 matches across all competitions, scoring 5 goals and providing 2 assists, confirming his impressive offensive abilities before moving to Sunderland.

Adingra expressed his happiness at joining Sunderland, saying: "I am very happy to be here and excited to get started. The project and the club are very exciting, I spoke with everyone and felt welcomed, which made my decision easier."
