The Italian Como Club expressed its great admiration for the Algerian star Riyad Mahrez through a special post on its official account on the "X" platform, ahead of an anticipated match against Al Ahly in the friendly "Como Cup" tournament.

Como described its opponent's player as the "amazing Algerian talent," noting their eagerness to follow his expected performance during the international tournament hosted by Italian stadiums from July 23 to 27.

This appreciation comes after the strong performances Mahrez delivered with Al Ahly in the Roshen League, reflecting the respect he enjoys from European clubs and enhancing the value of his anticipated participation in the Como Cup.

Last season, Mahrez topped the list of players with the most additional offensive points, achieving 35 points, surpassing Malcom Felipe (33 points), Fortinies (32 points), and Salem Al-Dosari (31 points).

Al Ahly will start its journey in the tournament by facing the host team Como at the "Sinigaglia" stadium on July 23, in a competition that also features Ajax and Celtic, amid intensive preparations for the new season.
