Al-Qadisiyah Decides to Part Ways with Almena and Looks for Offensive Replacement
Wednesday 09-07-2025
The management of Al-Qadisiyah Club is moving towards a decision to part ways with the Spanish winger Iker Almena, according to exclusive sources revealed to the 'Al-Riyadiyah' newspaper. The decision comes after a comprehensive evaluation of his performance last season.

The Al-Qadisiyah administration wishes to open the door to register a replacement player in the same position, in preparation for the new season, with the possibility of Almena transferring to one of the Roshen League clubs, should he receive a suitable offer.

Almena, who is 21 years old, played 22 matches for Al-Qadisiyah during the past season, but he did not succeed in scoring any goals, and his impact was limited to providing one assist.

The Spanish player occupies the right winger position and began his football career in 2019 with Cornellà, before moving to Java in 2020, and then to Can Vidalet in 2022.

In the summer of 2023, Almena joined Girona in Spain, progressing through its youth categories until he reached the first team, before signing with Al-Qadisiyah in the last summer transfer window as part of the team's reinforcement plan.
