Spanish newspaper "Marca" revealed that Real Madrid has submitted an official request to the competent court asking for a six-month extension of the investigation period in the Negreira case, extending it until March 2026, instead of the investigations concluding next September.

The newspaper confirmed that Real Madrid, which joined the case after confirming that its events may have impacted the sporting aspect, does not intend to remain passive in following the case, but continues investigations to uncover the full truth regarding the payments made by FC Barcelona to the Enriquez Negreira company.

According to the report, this step reflects the club's position announced by its president Florentino Perez in recent general meetings, where he emphasized that Real Madrid is committed to pursuing this case to ensure transparency and reveal all the circumstances surrounding it.

It is worth mentioning that the investigations into the case have been ongoing for nearly two years, during which time the judge responsible for it has changed, with intense scrutiny from Spanish sports circles.
