The Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo has resolved the recent debate about his future with Barcelona, confirming his desire to continue with the team in the upcoming period.

Catalan media reports had previously indicated the possibility of Araujo's departure this summer, especially given coach Hans Flick's reliance on the duo Pau Torres and Inigo Martinez in central defense, along with the player's name being linked to a transfer to Juventus before he signed a new contract with Barcelona.

According to 'Mundo Deportivo', Araujo responded to a journalist's question while leaving the Johan Cruyff City about his continuation with Barcelona, saying: "Staying at Barcelona? For me, yes, I will stay."

Araujo is 26 years old, and his contract with Barcelona ends in June 2031, after having played 175 matches for the team in various competitions, scoring 10 goals and assisting 7 others, while the final decision remains in the hands of the club's management.
