Ittihad Jeddah Prepares for the Season with Global Stations and Intense Friendlies
The Saudi Ittihad Club is gearing up to start its serious preparations for the new football season through a three-phase external training camp, spanning Spain, Portugal, and China, according to recent media reports.
The first phase of the camp will kick off in Spain, where the team will depart next Monday, and this preparatory period will last for ten days before moving to the second station.
Following that, Ittihad will head to the Algarve city in Portugal, where the second phase of the camp will take place, featuring three strong friendly matches, the most notable being a clash against the Turkish team Fenerbahçe on July 23.
The club will also play two other friendly matches against Fulham from England and Vitória de Guimarães from Portugal, with the possibility of adding a fourth match whose details have not yet been announced, according to journalist Majid Hood.
The team will conclude its external camp in China, where it will undergo the final stages of preparation, including two friendly matches in preparation for the Saudi Super Cup showdown against Al-Nassr, scheduled for August 18.
Several of Ittihad's international Saudi players will miss the beginning of the camp due to a three-week break following their recent participation in the Gold Cup, which ended on June 29.
