Abdel Shafi said via the 'X' platform: "Of course, I would like to thank all the coaches, players, administrators, the medical staff, and everyone I had the honor of working with inside the club."
He added: "I would like to thank the Zamalek fans who supported me at all times, and I am proud of every minute I played wearing the Zamalek badge."
He concluded: "As usual, every story has an end, and I was lucky that the end of my story is within the walls of the club where I grew up. I wish everyone success, and I hope we meet again in good health, God willing."
