Tuesday 08-07-2025
Mohammed Al-Qassim, the former president of the Cooperation Club, announced today, Tuesday, his withdrawal from the race for the presidency of the Qassim club, and directed his full support to his only competitor, Badr Al-Ghanam, through a post on his personal account on the "X" platform.

In Al-Qassim's post, he stated: "Cooperation is going through a new phase to start a beautiful future, God willing, and with the start of the electoral phase, I wish my brother and friend Badr Al-Ghanam and his colleagues success in leading the upcoming phase, and we will all be with and behind the club president and those who will work with him to bring us happiness in the future, God willing."

Al-Qassim had served as the president of the Cooperation Club from 2012 to 2020, during which he achieved a historic accomplishment by winning the King’s Cup for the first time.

This announcement comes after the Cooperation administration set July 2025 as the date for opening nominations for the presidency and members of the board of directors, which started last Sunday and will close next Thursday, making the competition limited to Badr Al-Ghanam alone after Al-Qassim's withdrawal.

Reports revealed that Al-Ghanam's team will consist of three members from the previous administration: Bandar Al-Mani for investment, Sultan Al-Sharida for various games, and Abdul Rahman Al-Dakhil to supervise youth categories, in an attempt to ensure the continuity of expertise and achieve the aspirations of Cooperation's supporters.
