According to reports, the player has signed a contract that extends for three years until the summer of 2028, with an annual salary estimated at 20 million euros, which is the offer that coach Simone Inzaghi insisted on since taking over the coaching role at Al Hilal, believing that Theo's continental experience will strengthen the team's backline.

This move came after the end of Al Hilal's journey in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, as the club preferred to wait until the end of their participation to avoid distracting the players' focus during the tournament.
