The officials of Zamalek Club are working to finalize the fate of Hossam Abdel-Meguid, the team's defender, in the coming days to put an end to any speculation regarding his future.

Hossam Abdel-Meguid insists on leaving Zamalek to pursue a European professional experience in the near future, while the club is keen on keeping him as he is one of the key players in the team.

Zamalek expressed its desire to convince Hossam to stay, fearing a repeat of the scenario of their former player Imam Ashour, who moved to play in the Danish league and then returned to Egypt through their traditional rival, Al Ahly.

According to press sources, Zamalek will hold a final and decisive meeting with Hossam Abdel-Meguid to persuade him to stay and amend his contract to make it one of the highest-paid in the team within the top salary bracket.

Egyptian reports indicated that Zamalek would agree to Abdel-Meguid's departure if an offer of $4 million is received, but the current available offers do not meet the club's financial ambitions.
