The Belgian coach Yannick Ferreira, the new head coach of Zamalek, confirmed that the negotiations with the club were very quick and went well, due to both his and the club's desire to work together.

Ferreira stated in remarks to the official Zamalek website: "Zamalek is a big team and one of the best clubs in Egypt. I read that it is the best in the 20th century, and we hope now to try to make it the best in the 21st century."

He added: "First of all, I think the most important thing is that we all move in the same direction, and if we can achieve that, I believe the result will be victories."

He continued: "I will not come here and lie and say, with me you will win. What I can say is that with me, we will work hard, we will fight, and we will share the same values that the fans hold. I believe that if we all do that, winning will be a natural result of it."

He completed: "But we should not talk about winning now; we need to talk about what we must do to achieve it, and we hope to reach it later."

Ferreira sent a message to the fans saying: "I can promise you one thing, the players will fight hard for you from day one until the last day, and that is a promise I can give you."
