Mastantuno Bids Farewell to River Plate
Argentinian international midfielder Franco Mastantuno has bid farewell to his club River Plate and its fans, as he prepares to move to Real Madrid this summer.
The young Argentinian star said: "Today I write a few lines that I never imagined I would have to write so soon. With a full heart and mixed emotions, I want to tell you that I am about to take a very important step in my career: a new phase begins, in another club, in another place, with new challenges."
He added: "Before I look ahead, I must tell you what I am leaving behind. River is not just the club where I grew up as a player. It is my home, my family, the place where I learned what it means to wear this shirt with pride."
He continued: "I am very grateful to the fans for their unconditional love, to everyone at the club for my upbringing, to my teammates for sharing this passion, and to my family for their constant presence."
He went on: "There is one thing I would like to clarify: my dream of winning titles with River has not disappeared. It has not disappeared at all, it has just changed its order. Today it is my turn to go out, to develop, to have new experiences, and to learn."
He concluded: "Thank you River for everything, this is not goodbye, but see you later."
